The Barcelona squad has now returned to training after returning to Spain. However, not every pending issue has been resolved just yet despite a successful preseason tour. At the moment, the Marc-Andre Ter Stegen issue remains a big hurdle for the club to overcome.

However, recent reports have confirmed that the club is now looking to strip the player’s captaincy as they no longer deem him to be fit to lead the team. Still, it appears that the club has yet to inform the player about this decision.

According to the latest update provided by Jijantes FC, Barcelona has yet to inform Ter Stegen of their decision to strip him of the captaincy. It will be a significant move, and the club appears to be taking its time to finalise it.

As for the new captains and who will take his place, that also remains undecided. There was no vote held this morning, and it appears that both Hansi Flick and Barça are waiting for the right moment to make the decision.

Ter Stegen, meanwhile, did report to the club’s facilities and focused on his recovery following surgery. As for the ongoing issue surrounding the medical report, it remains a major point of contention, with both the club and the player still at odds.

The sooner this problem can be resolved, the sooner things can return to normality around the club. For now, however, the unfortunate reality is that neither side wants to budge, and this issue continues to be escalated.
