The last night was another memorable one for FC Barcelona as the Blaugranes added another major piece of silverware to their cabinet, i.e., the Copa del Rey. With this win, the Catalans have taken their cup tally to 32.

Winning such a big competition is a cause for delight in itself, but the Barcelona players and fans would have been particularly ecstatic with the events of the last night, as they won this trophy after a hard-fought battle against their fierce rivals, Real Madrid.

Thus, this achievement definitely deserves a good deal of celebration, and a report from Mundo Deportivo provides some glimpses into how the team celebrated this win.

The report mentions that the team’s celebrations went on for the entire night, and lasted till dawn. The players and members of the staff marked this affair with their particular styles.

One particular activity from these celebrations was the gesture made by the coaching staff to the players right after they were presented with the trophy.

The group of staff members made a corridor for the Blaugrana players, through which every player passed in turn. As they passed, they received their well-deserved slaps from the staff, a joking gesture celebrating a significant achievement from the team.

In general, the team’s celebrations are not going to be too long, as Hansi Flick and several players indicated in their media comments after last night’s match.

This is particularly because Barcelona are still fighting for two more trophies, and they have a crucial first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final scheduled for the upcoming Wednesday.

After playing 120 minutes of gruelling football last night, the players would definitely need quite some rest. Hopefully, they will be able to get this in the days ahead of this game, and then continue their march towards the treble.
