Although he is not a fixed starter for Hansi Flick, the FC Barcelona forward Ferran Torres has been enjoying quite good form this season. His good form is not only limited to the Blaugrana club, but also to the Spanish national team.

It was with the latter that he shone in his latest appearance, as he started for Spain in the game against Georgia, in the position that is usually taken by Lamine Yamal.

The Spaniard showed his good form in this match by scoring the third goal of the game, and as SPORT has reported, he made history with that goal.

This was his 23rd goal for the Spanish national team, and thus he has tied Sergio Ramos and Alfredo de Stefano in the top-10, and is only three goals behind Emilio Butragueno.

His scoring average with the national team is also extraordinary, as he has scored these 23 goals in only 51 games, and 2 of these goals have been scored since the start of the 2025-26 season.

Both with the Spanish national team and Barcelona, Ferran Torres continues to showcase his quality and talents, and this is also pushing the Blaugranes to address his renewal, as his current contract expires in 2027.
