This entire summer has been an exhausting one already for FC Barcelona. Since the very beginning, there were reports suggesting that the club wanted to sign a new left-winger. Now, it seems that Barcelona finally have what they were working for.
Originally, reports even claimed that Hansi Flick demanded the signing of a new winger. Yet, after a few operations either failed or were deemed to be unfeasible for the club, Barcelona has now finally completed the signing of a new left-winger.
Barcelona announce the signing of Marcus Rashford

As confirmed officially by the club, 27-year-old English forward Marcus Rashford has now joined Barcelona and is set to play for the club for one season. Arriving on a loan deal, he remains permanently committed to Manchester United for now while he spends his loan season at Barça.
However, there is a purchase option attached to this deal that would allow the Catalan giants to permanently purchase the player as well. Further details regarding that purchase option and other things related to this transfer have been revealed recently as well.
Now, it simply remains to be seen what plan Hansi Flick has in mind for the English forward. With the likes of Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, and Robert Lewandowski already thriving under Flick, Rashford will need to be at his very best to convince the German coach.
New contract already signed
It was also previously confirmed that Rashford has already signed his contract with Barcelona following his arrival in Spain. Prior to that, however, it became quite apparent that the club was deliberately trying to hide his arrival until they could sort out the formalities and get the official signatures needed to make the announcement.
With this signing now out of the way, the club can focus on other operations as well. Ranging from potential renewal discussions to possible transfer exits as well, this summer, there is still a lot left to do for Barcelona as they continue to prepare the best they can for the upcoming season.
