FC Barcelona have been relentless when it comes to pursuing market opportunities this summer. For the Catalan club, their restricted financial ability makes it clear that such opportunities have to be assessed. So far, however, Barcelona have not exactly signed players haphazardly.
Barcelona have completed only one signing so far
Instead, the Catalan giants have taken their time and have decided to sort out their priorities in order. Since completing the signing of Joan Garcia, an operation that went relatively smoothly, Barcelona are yet to officially bring in their second signing of the summer.
However, it would now seem that the club might just be close to finally sorting that out and bringing in a new arrival. Considering the latest update from a reliable journalist, that announcement and signing may not take much longer.
A second summer signing could now be close
As revealed by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona now seem to be closing in on the signing of Swedish winger Roony Bardghji. According to his latest update, the winger has even completed the first part of his medical tests with Barcelona already.
Moreover, formal steps are set to continue next week as the player gets closer and closer to making the move to Barça. As it stands, the operation will cost around €2 million and the deal looks set to be completed with Danish side FC Copenhagen.
Future plans for the winger still to be confirmed
Having been linked to the Catalan giants quite prominently in recent weeks, this operation has been in the works since quite some time. Fortunately, it now seems that the operation concerning the Swedish player could finally be reaching its conclusion.
While it remains to be seen what Barça’s future plans with the player will be following his likely arrival, the hunt for another winger will continue as well. As a priority operation, Barcelona are still looking for a new left-winger, and Englishman Marcus Rashford seems to be an option that La Blaugrana are now seriously considering.
