The March international break did not turn out to be a positive experience for Barcelona forward Robert Lewandowski, who saw his hopes of playing at what could have been his final World Cup come to an end after Poland’s defeat to Sweden in the playoffs.

The veteran striker had dreamed of featuring in his third World Cup, but that opportunity slipped away, leaving him visibly affected and even uncertain about his international future despite his remarkable tally of 165 appearances and 89 goals for his country.

With little time to dwell on the disappointment, the forward quickly returned to FC Barcelona, where he responded in the best possible way. Just days after his return, he scored the winning goal against Atletico Madrid in a crucial La Liga clash, helping his side secure a victory that could prove decisive in the title race with only a handful of matches remaining.

Now, as reported by Mundo Deportivo, Lewandowski has set himself a clear triple objective for the remainder of the season. First and foremost, his priority is to continue at Barcelona. While he remains open to assessing his options, his intention is to stay, provided the club presents a convincing proposal that aligns with his expectations.

At the same time, the Polish striker is focused on helping his team secure the two major titles still within reach, La Liga and the UEFA Champions League. With the campaign entering its decisive phase, he is determined to contribute with goals and experience as Barcelona push for silverware on both fronts.

Having seen his role in the starting lineup fluctuate in recent weeks, Lewandowski is also motivated to reestablish himself as a key figure in the squad. Missing out on the World Cup has only strengthened his resolve to end the season on a high note, both individually and collectively.

Ultimately, his objective is clear. Deliver trophies, regain his prominence within the team, and earn the chance to extend his stay at Barcelona for at least one more season.
