FC Barcelona still have some league matches left to play, but a win in their next La Liga game would confirm them as the Champions of Spain.
This achievement would put a final and decisive seal on the very good season that the Blaugrana team has had so far, and would take their trophy tally to three, as the Catalans have already won the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup.
Barcelona interested in Jonathan Tah
However, Barcelona are also planning to reinforce their team ahead of the next season to maintain their good level going forward, and one of the players they have been linked with most strongly in the last few months is the German defender Jonathan Tah, who is going to be a free agent at the end of this season.
But there are some other sides being linked with the Bayer Leverkusen centre-back as well, one of them being the German giants Bayern Munich.
Bayern Munich approve the defender’s signing
In fact, Mundo Deportivo reports that the Bavarians have taken a giant step forward in their pursuit of Tah, and the club’s Supervisory Board has already approved his signing. Thus, their Sporting Director, Max Eberl, now has the green light to complete his signing.
The Bundesliga giants had already tried to sign the defender last season, but were unable to do so because of Leverkusen’s demands. Now, they have successfully negotiated with the centre-back, who is expected to sign a contract till 2028 with the Bavarian side.
Thus, it looks like Bayern have beaten several other sides that were interested in Jonathan Tah, including Barcelona and Real Madrid.
But their business with Leverkusen players might not be at an end, as the Munich side is also interested in the midfielder Florian Wirtz, one of the brightest stars playing in the Bundesliga. However, as opposed to Tah, the Bavarians would have to pay a significant amount in transfer fee to get the attacking midfielder.
