FC Barcelona have already added one new player to their squad for the next season, and everything indicates that they are going to make some more signings before the end of the 2025 summer transfer window.

However, to get their new signings registered, the Blaugranes will still have to do a lot of work, as they are still facing problems with Financial Fair Play.

To get over these problems, the Catalans will have to sell some of their current players. The club is already working on the departures of some of these players. One factor that is making this task quite difficult for Barcelona is the desire of most of their players to continue playing with the Blaugrana team.

This is also the case for the midfielder Fermin Lopez, who, according to Mundo Deportivo, is one of the most sought-after Barcelona players in the market, but is maintaining his intention not to leave the Catalan club.

The Premier League side Chelsea offered a swap deal for the midfielder, with Christopher Nkunku coming the other way, but Barcelona have rejected this deal.

Similarly, other big European clubs like Bayern Munich and Manchester City also had him in their sights, and some Saudi clubs also wanted him, but the Spaniard is clear that he wants to continue and succeed at the Blaugrana club.

Hansi Flick supports his decision

His decision to stay is also supported by his coach, Hansi Flick. Although the German did not have Fermin as a clear starter last season, he still values the midfielder too much, as he provides a different profile from other midfielders, and is not ready to part ways with him.

Fermin Lopez has a contract with Barcelona till 2029, and as things stand, both the club and the player seem to be willing to continue working together. However, there are still a lot of days left in the market, and nothing can be ruled out for now.
