According to Mundo Deportivo, which cites Sky Sport Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Ter Stegen could leave Barcelona during the upcoming winter transfer window, either on a permanent transfer or a loan deal. The report suggests that such a move could be considered by the German shotstopper.
Such a move would be in the interest of both the Blaugrana club and the player himself. The Catalans do not really need Ter Stegen with Joan Garcia’s arrival and Wojciech Szczesny’s presence. Meanwhile, the German goalkeeper cannot afford to stay irrelevant for his club side with the World Cup fast approaching.
