Now represented by Jorge Mendes, the Portuguese super agent could play an important role in helping find an agreement between the player and Barcelona. Moreover, with an affordable €25 million release clause, it is an operation that would not completely be beyond Barça’s financial means.

As for the €35 million-rated defender, as per the valuation provided by Transfermarkt, he offers a profile that Hansi Flick reportedly wants. Combining strength with attacking drive and experience, Dumfries is a package that Barcelona could consider going in for.

However, considering the fact that his €25 million release clause is only valid until the 15th of July, it would make sense for Barcelona to act swiftly.
