The 2025 summer transfer window has just closed, but FC Barcelona are reportedly already planning their market moves for the future.
In this recently closed transfer window, the Blaugranes lost one of their defensive leaders and the only left-footed center-backs in the squad, and as a result, they are being linked with several players in the market to fill in this gap.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Deco is already keeping an eye on several candidates for this purpose, and there are five players who are particularly interesting to the Portuguese official, including Goncalo Inacio, Murrillo Santiago, Luis Gustavo Benedetti, Marc Guehi, and Lucas Beraldo.
Inacio is the most prominent of these names currently, as his agent has already met with Deco recently. Being a starter for Sporting Portugal and the Portuguese international team, he has several other suitors in the market as well.
There are two Premier League defenders on this list as well. One of them is the Nottingham Forest center-back Murrillo Santiago, who, at 23 years of age, is showing promising signs of growth.
The other is the Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, who is yet to renew his contract, but who is also attracting the attention of other great European clubs like Liverpool and Real Madrid.
The 19-year-old Palmeiras youngster Benedetti is another name on Barcelona’s list, as he has been impressing with his ball-playing and physicality, despite his youth. Arsenal and Napoli are also interested in him.
Lastly, there is also the PSG defender Lucas Beraldo, who could leave the French club after having lost a lot of prominence under Luis Enrique lately. At 21 years of age, he could also be a highly enticing option for Barcelona.
For now, there is still a lot of time till the next summer transfer window opens, and it remains to be seen which of these defenders will ultimately join the Blaugrana club.
