Bad news continues to follow FC Barcelona this season, especially when it comes to player fitness and injuries under Hansi Flick.

Ahead of the highly anticipated El Clásico clash against Real Madrid, Barça have been dealt another setback.

According to Gerard Romero ( via Fabrizio Romano), Brazilian winger Raphinha is now expected to miss the game against Los Blancos after suffering new physical discomfort during today’s training session.

This development comes as a major disappointment, as the player had felt positive sensations during yesterday’s training and was hoping to receive the medical green light to return to action. However, those good feelings did not last, and he was forced to leave the session early after experiencing fresh discomfort.

It is undoubtedly a blow for FC Barcelona, who would have benefited from having Raphinha available for such an important fixture. Even if Hansi Flick was unlikely to start him, the €90 million-rated winger’s presence on the bench would have offered valuable depth and an attacking option to call upon.

For now, FC Barcelona will have to prepare for El Clásico without the Brazilian, as their injury troubles continue to mount ahead of one of the most crucial matches of the season.
