FC Barcelona got the better of Real Madrid once again this season as they beat them in the final of the Copa del Rey on Saturday. The Blaugranes were able to do this despite not having some of their important players available for this game.
One of these players who could not participate in this match was the defender Alejandro Balde, as he had suffered a hamstring injury in the left leg during the game against Leganes on April 12th.
The Spaniard was expected to spend around three weeks on the sidelines with this injury, and Diario AS (h/t Football Espana) has provided an update on his situation.
Their report claims that the defender himself wants to play in the upcoming first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final against Inter Milan, but Barcelona are quite cautious about him, especially as they believe hamstring injuries are always treacherous, and there is a high risk of relapse if proper care is not taken.

Thus, for now, his participation in this upcoming game is not yet clear and will depend on how the player feels in a test that he is set to undertake in a few hours to assess his fitness level and evaluate his condition to play in such a demanding game.
Hansi Flick is clear that he needs Balde playing on the right wing for his team to play at its best level. However, he is also not too willing to take many risks with such an important player, as another setback can potentially keep him out for the rest of the season.
A final decision in this regard will be made only after a consensus is reached between the player, coaches, doctors, and trainers. If these individuals decide not to get Alejandro Balde back in action on Wednesday, he will return to the pitch in the league match against Real Valladolid, and thus get back to full fitness by the time of the second leg against Inter.
