FC Barcelona have been constantly working on various transfer operations this summer. For the Catalan club, certain arrivals and exits are considered crucial for their plans. Unfortunately, not everything has been going the way Barcelona would have ideally wanted it to go.

Not all operations have been a success for Barcelona

While the arrival of Joan Garcia was smoothly arranged, other operations have proven to be a bit more problematic. In that context, the failed operation of Nico Williams was certainly something that the club would not have wanted as the player has now renewed his contract with Athletic Club.

However, an interesting update now suggests that even an executive-level transfer may not be completely off the table when looking at the near-future. The latest report suggests that the current Barcelona vice president could be pursued by a certain Saudi Arabian club.

Al-Nassr seem interested in Rafa Yuste

According to the most recent update from MARCA, Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr has shown interested in Barça’s current vice president, Rafa Yuste. Reportedly, the Middle Eastern side would like to consider the possibility of acquiring him to be their new general director.

A man with a lot of experience under his belt, he has primarily worked alongside Barcelona president Joan Laporta. In fact, he also served alongside Laporta during the president’s first tenure at Barcelona all those years ago.

Just preliminary talks for now

Interestingly, Al-Nassr is the same club that Cristiano Ronaldo now plays his football for. The Portuguese icon was seen as a major acquisition for Saudi Arabian football in general, with Al-Nassr being the club to directly acquire his signature.

However, this executive-level signing is still nowhere near being completed or even formally being pursued. As per the same report, there have only been preliminary talks between the relevant parties so far, and a formal offer is yet to be put on the table nor is it expected soon.
