There is never a shortage of talented young players at FC Barcelona. After all, the Catalan club is renowned for their ability to scout and develop young gems. Even today, many of the most important players at Barcelona are youngsters.

Still, that does not mean that every player will get the same kind of opportunities or get the chance to shine as much as others. With limited space on the roster and much to compete for, Barcelona can be quite the ruthless place as well.

For that reason, it is hardly surprising to see certain youngsters leave the club to find more opportunities elsewhere. Such is the case for 22-year-old Spanish midfielder Pablo Torre, who is now on his way to another team.

As confirmed by Fabrizio Romano through one of his trademark ‘Here we go’ tweets, Torre will be joining RCD Mallorca this summer. The Barcelona midfielder is set to leave on a permanent deal, but the Catalan giants will retain some level of control over his future.

Having been linked to Mallorca since quite some time now, it seems that the move is now finally coming to fruition. According to the details provided by Romano, Torre will be joining Mallorca for a €5 million transfer fee and a 50% sell-on clause for Barcelona.

Other youngsters to consider as well

This means that if Mallorca were to sell the player in the future, half of the proceeds from the transfer would go towards Barcelona. A smart deal for the Catalan giants, as they are betting on the youngster to develop into a great player who could potentially attract big transfer offers in the future.

For now, however, there are other youngsters who could potentially be given opportunities next season. At the same time, there are also other young players who continue to attract interest from outside and Barcelona reportedly seems to have a price tag in mind for certain players as well.
