Following their Copa del Rey victory, FC Barcelona are now set to take on Inter Milan in another crucial match as the two sides meet in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals.

Without a doubt, this is going to be a very intense game, as both sides will be looking to get a win. The Catalans will be coming into this match with better form, with their morale sky-high after the Copa del Rey win.

Inter, meanwhile, come into this game at a bad time, as they have lost all three of their last games, which mean they are no longer competing for the cup and have also lost the leadership of the Serie A table to Napoli.

Still, there is no doubt that the Italians will put their best performance against the Blaugranes, especially with Marcus Thuram returning to availability.

Still, the form with which they are coming into this game means Barcelona are now the favorites. This was definitely the opinion of one of the best-known football-related personalities in Italy, Gianluigi Buffon, the former legendary Juventus and Italian national team goalkeeper.

As SPORT has reported, the former goalkeeper was clear that Inter can compete with this Blaugrana team, but still saw Hansi Flick’s men as the favorites:

“To be considered favourites against Barcelona, you either have to be incredibly good or you’ll suffer. Inter can compete, but to do that, they need to be really strong — and Inter are.”

Despite him accepting that the Nerazzurri are strong, the goalkeeper still sees Barcelona as slightly ahead of them in quality.

Despite the comments from Gianluigi Buffon, this tie can still go either way, as both teams will be coming into this game with a lot of fatigue in their legs. Hopefully, Barcelona and Inter will still put up an entertaining game for the fans.

  1. If balde is not fit I suggested flick play Araujo Inigo cubasi and kounde. Because Inter are very aggressive Martin will suffer too much a d it can’t handle the pressure
