FC Barcelona are going through one of the most demanding phases of the season, but this week has been one of the rare ones in which the team only had a single match to play. Taking advantage of the lighter schedule, Hansi Flick decided to give all his players a day off on Tuesday.

However, as reported by Mundo Deportivo, several players also enjoyed an additional rest day on Wednesday as part of a new individualized workload management plan designed by the German coach.

Marcus Rashford, Frenkie de Jong, Jules Kounde, and Pau Cubarsi were granted an extra day of rest, as they are among the players who have accumulated the most minutes in recent weeks.

This decision is part of Flick’s broader effort to reduce fatigue and minimize the risk of injuries within the squad. The coaching staff is closely monitoring each player’s physical condition and adjusting training and recovery routines according to individual needs.

By tailoring recovery and rest schedules to each player, Flick aims to keep his team physically fresh and mentally sharp during a congested run of fixtures. Barcelona will hope that this proactive approach helps them regain momentum and stability ahead of their upcoming match against Elche.
