FC Barcelona retook the leadership of the La Liga table last night after having defeated Levante with a 3-0 scoreline. After the two defeats in the last two games, this was a more reassuring performance from the Blaugrana team.

While the three points were what mattered the most in this match, another aspect of the game that might have raised some eyebrows among the Catalan team’s followers would have been the gesture of annoyance made by Lamine Yamal when he was subbed out for Roony Bardghji in the last phase of the game.

In fact, Hansi Flick was also asked about this matter when he faced the press after the match, and as SPORT has reported, the German coach did not appear too concerned with this. In fact, the Barcelona coach appeared surprised by this question:

“Was he angry about his performance? That’s normal. The most important thing is that we won, and we also have players who deserve to play, like Roony, who is a very professional player, and I liked his reaction when he came on.”

When pressed further, he added:

“You give too much importance to everything Lamine does. I have no problem with the reaction; he’s human. Other players also deserve to play, and that’s all there is to it.”

As Hansi Flick commented, it was quite a natural reaction from a player who wants to play as much as possible. Hopefully, Lamine Yamal would show that there was nothing serious about his gesture in the next match against Villarreal.
