From being linked with Serie A star Ademola Lookman to Manchester United winger Marcus Rashford dropping hints, it is clear that Barcelona have some options to assess. However, a recent meeting in the city between a well-renowned agent and two of Barça’s most prominent figures has now sparked even more intrigue.
As highlighted by SPORT, Barcelona president Joan Laporta and first team coach Hansi Flick recently held a meeting with agent Pini Zahavi in the city. The main purpose of this meeting was to focus on the club’s transfer planning for the upcoming campaign, and the meeting reportedly went on for around 90 minutes.
The name that was reportedly brought up specifically during this meeting, however, was that of Marcus Rashford. It seems now that the Catalan club sees him as the ideal option to bring in this summer, and the structure of a potential deal with Manchester United could also be favorable.
Frenkie de Jong’s potential renewal and new agent
Reportedly, the English club would be willing to agree to a loan deal when it comes to the 27-year-old winger, and that would suit Barcelona a lot. Moreover, even Flick himself has reportedly given the green light for his arrival.
Interestingly, other topics were reportedly discussed as well. One of those topics was the possible renewal of Frenkie de Jong, and that is notable because the report suggests that Zahavi could soon become De Jong’s new agent in light of the issues with his previous agent.
