FC Barcelona return to action in La Liga as they are set to take on Rayo Vallecano now. A game that promises to be a challenging one, it will be the third league game of the season for La Blaugrana. However, it is a good opportunity to fight for all three points at stake.
Heading into the game, however, there are some notable absentees to keep in mind. Roony Bardghji, despite seemingly being optimistic about his registration, remains unregistered for this game and will not be travelling with the squad. It appears that it will take the club a little bit longer to sort out his whole registration issue, but this is now the third consecutive league game that the Swedish winger will be missing.
Moreover, as expected, Gavi is not a part of the final squad list either. The young Spanish midfielder recently suffered an injury and is now expected to return to action after the conclusion of the upcoming international break. Until then, Barça will likely try to remain cautious with his recovery.
Fortunately, however, Wojciech Szczesny has been registered in time for Barça to make use of him in matches again. The Polish goalkeeper, following the departure of Inaki Pena, will now be the alternative option to Joan Garcia in the squad.
With that cleared up, here is the official squad list released by Barça for the upcoming La Liga clash.
