The start of the 2025-26 season has been quite brutal for FC Barcelona as far as the physical conditions of some of their important players are concerned.

The Blaugranes have already seen players like Alejandro Balde, Lamine Yamal, and Robert Lewandowski miss games due to physical problems, while other players like Raphinha, Fermin Lopez, Gavi, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, and Joan Garcia are still recovering.

The current international break has also provided no respite to the Catalan side in this regard, as they saw players like Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres leave their national team camps before the expected time because of physical problems.

Now, another player has entered this latter list, as FC Barcelona have officially announced that the striker Robert Lewandowski has suffered a muscle tear in the biceps femoris of his left thigh.

The club has not provided any specific time frame for his return from this injury, and has only announced that his recovery will determine the length of his absence.

There is no doubt that this is a blow for the Blaugranes, as they are already missing several offensive players, including Dani Olmo and Raphinha.

Fermin Lopez and Lamine Yamal have started training with the group, but it remains to be seen when they will reach their full fitness levels, while Ferran Torres is also facing some problems, even though he is not a doubt for the Girona game.
