The last few weeks have not really gone too well for FC Barcelona. In addition to the two losses they faced ahead of the start of the October international break, the Blaugrana side has also had to contend with injuries to several important players.

In fact, the injury list continued to pile up even as the international break started, as one of their midfielders, Dani Olmo, suffered a physical problem while training with the Spanish national team.

The first diagnosis after the problem showed that the Spaniard was suffering from a muscle injury in his left calf, and a tear was also feared.

However, more detailed tests on the midfielder were held today, and the results of these tests have brought respite to the Catalan club.

As Barcelona have officially announced, there is no tear detected and Olmo is suffering from an injury to the soleus of the calf, while the connecting tissue has not been damaged.

The club has not given a timeframe for his recovery, but Mundo Deportivo notes that he can still remain on the sidelines for several weeks. Thus, Dani Olmo remains a doubt for the upcoming El Clásico on 26th October.
