Recent tensions between Marc-Andre Ter Stegen and FC Barcelona have attracted a lot of unwanted attention. However, the only way to settle those issues was to reach an agreement that suited both parties. Now, it seems that both the club and the player have managed to do just that.

According to the latest official statement released by the club, Ter Stegen has now signed the authorisation necessary for the Catalan club to send his medical report to La Liga. This particular report is the one primarily related to his recent surgery and the expected recovery time associated with it.

However, there is more to this recent official statement beyond just the fact that the player has now finally authorised Barça to send in his medical report after constantly blocking the club’s attempts to do so. Beyond that, Barça has also officially confirmed that the player is now once again a captain of the first team with immediate effect following their previous decision to remove him from that position.

Interestingly, the club’s official statement did not take long to come following Ter Stegen’s own recent statement that he posted on Instagram. Within that statement, the German goalkeeper claimed that he was open to settling things with the club and it seems that he ended up doing just that.

As for what this means for the player’s immediate future in terms of his own registration and that of others who are yet to be registered, a lot is still left to be conclusively decided. At the very least, it should be safe to assume that Barça and Ter Stegen are possibly on relatively better terms now.
