The preseason is now over for FC Barcelona, but it was certainly an exciting one. Beyond just getting to see the players and new signings in action, fans were also treated to some great football. In fact, Barça ended the preseason with a flawless record.

Out of the four games played, La Blaugrana managed to win all four of them. The first was a test against Vissel Kobe, then came the decimation of FC Seoul, after that Barça outplayed Daegu FC, and their most recent victory was a dominant one over Como. In terms of numbers, the Catalan outfit scored 20 goals in four games and conceded only four goals.

However, beyond just the collective performances of the team, players individually also stood out. Previously, Gavi was recognised as the top scorer of the preseason tour, but statistics and names have changed following the recent win in the Joan Gamper Trophy.

That is why Mundo Deportivo has now decided to update the leaders of various statistics and highlight which players shone the brightest. Following the win over the Italian side, there are some interesting players and statistics to assess.

In terms of minutes played, Joan Garcia was Hansi Flick’s most trusted soldier with 225 minutes accumulated. Not too far behind him, however, was Pau Cubarsi with 221 minutes under his belt.

As for top scorers, Gavi has lost the top spot and is now in second place with three goals to his name. The top spot, however, has been taken by Barça superstar Lamine Yamal, who scored a brace against Como recently and took his tally to four goals in preseason.

Lastly, when it comes to assists, two players are tied in that regard. With two assists each, Dani Olmo and Gerard Martin competed for the top spot. However, it might be interesting to note that Olmo played 135 minutes during the preseason, whereas Gerard Martin played only 114 minutes.

The most obvious observation when it comes to these stats is that the Catalan side finally has great depth in the team. With both Marcus Rashford and Roony Bardghji having scored as well during the preseason, it is exciting to see what Hansi Flick can do with such a diverse and competitive squad during the official season.
