However, in recent weeks, his continuity has generated increasing doubts. Barcelona are clear that they would have to pay €30 million to get the Englishman permanently. Meanwhile, his wages remain a source of problem even with the player willing to practically cut his salary into half by spreading his wages over a longer contract.
