As one of the biggest clubs in the world, FC Barcelona also have to take care of their merchandising and branding. With some high-profile sponsors including the likes of Nike and Spotify, the Catalan club is among the world’s most marketable clubs. Accordingly, that is often reflected in the revenue that Barcelona generated as well.

Barcelona release their new home kit

With the previous season now behind them, the Catalan giants must focus towards marketing their upcoming campaign as well. To do so, one of the first steps that many big clubs take is revealing their new official kits for the upcoming season, and Barcelona have done that officially now for their 2025/26 home kit.

A blend of a darker shade of blue and red, it is a kit that highlights the visuals as they have a bold gradient transition that merges the colors together. Not surprisingly, it seems to have been a big hit amongst the fans already.

Pau Cubarsi leads the sales amongst defenders for now

However, what is surprising is that the player whose shirt has been sold the most is a rather unlikely name. Normally, players like Lamine Yamal, Pedri, or even Robert Lewandowski would be the ones to consider for the top spot, but as a recent update claims, there is another strong contender right up there with them.

Instead, as revealed by Memorabilia1899, it is Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsi who is leading the official sales right now in terms of players in his position. A decent surprise, considering how young the centre-back is, but it is one that shows the player’s uniquely strong popularity.

Lamine Yamal might be one to watch with the ’10’

However, a big shift in that regard could potentially come once Lamine Yamal finally receives his long-awaited number ‘10’. With Ansu Fati now joining AS Monaco, that number is left vacant and Yamal is expected to receive it on his 18th birthday this month.

The youngster has been dropping hints about that number since quite some time now, and he will now be the player to carry on that prestigious legacy. With legends like Lionel Messi and Ronaldinho having worn that number before him, Yamal will now be taking on a big responsibility as well.
