FC Barcelona have had to contend with a lot of injury problems for their important players since the start of the season, and even in the last game against Atletico Madrid, the Blaugranes were without several of their important players, including the likes of Raphinha, Pedri, and Marcus Rashford.

Apart from Raphinha, who is set to receive medical clearance, Pedri and Marcus Rashford are expected to remain unavailable for the upcoming league game against Girona, while Gavi and Andreas Christensen continue to recover from long-term injuries.

Meanwhile, as Mundo Deportivo has noted, the Catalans would also have to remain wary about the threat of suspensions, as two of their players, Frenkie de Jong and Gerard Martin, are only a single yellow card away from being suspended in La Liga.

Both of these players have 4 yellows cards to their name, and another would see them suspended for one game. The Dutchman is an established starter for Flick, while the Spaniard has seen his role diminish in the last few weeks and is likely to start on the bench.

Jules Kounde is also on the warning list with three yellow cards and will face the risk of suspension if booked against Girona. Despite these concerns, Barcelona have not yet had any players miss a league game due to yellow card accumulation this season, although de Jong and Pedri have both been sent off in La Liga.
