While some of the FC Barcelona players have established themselves as untouchable parts of the team with their performances this season, the Blaugrana club will still be open to selling most of their players if a good offer comes in during the next summer transfer window.

Meanwhile, there are some other players who have had very little prominence in the Catalan team this season, and thus, their chances of leaving are quite high once the summer transfer window opens.

One such player is the forward Ansu Fati, who returned to Barcelona with high hopes of having an important role under Hansi Flick, but who has been unable to impress the German coach, and thus is one of the players with the lowest number of minutes played this season.

He has already been linked with a move away from the Catalan club in the last winter transfer window, but ended up staying.

As Diario AS has reported, the President of the Turkish club Besiktas recently revealed how his side came close to signing the Spanish forward in the last winter transfer window and how a sporting failure ended up jeopardizing the deal:

“Ansu Fati was on our radar, just like Patrick Berg and Samuel Dahl. After the Europa League match against Twente, my intention was to bring Fati to Istanbul. We had even reached an agreement with Barcelona for his transfer.

However, on the night of our elimination, we were informed that he ultimately wouldn’t be coming. The player was very excited, and his father had already been contacted. But our European elimination ruined the signings.”

This operation is not permanently closed, however, and the Turkish side is expected to once again try to sign the Barcelona forward next summer. Hopefully, this operation will be successful, as Fati is unlikely to get a lot of minutes in the Blaugrana team and thus, a move away remains the best course for his future.
