There is no doubt that FC Barcelona have been working on various operations this summer. For the Catalan giants, it remains essential to not just assess transfer operations but internal matters as well. However, both of those things seem to be taking Barcelona a lot of time this summer.
The top priority in recent weeks was the signing of a new left-winger. After all, it was a major demand from Hansi Flick and it had to be given importance by the club. Ultimately, Barcelona managed to find their man.
The official announcement of Marcus Rashford’s arrival came just recently, and the English forward is now officially a member of Flick’s squad at Barcelona. However, there are now other matters to tend to and some of the most important ones are registration-related.
Barcelona working on Joan Garcia’s registration

According to SPORT, the most immediate case that is being worked on by Barça is the Joan Garcia one. The Spanish goalkeeper is yet to be officially registered, but the Catalan club does not want a repeat of what happened with Dani Olmo last season.
In light of that, the player’s agent and lawyer, Juanma Lopez and Ramon Valencia, both had a meeting with Deco this morning. The goal of that meeting was not to discuss anything transfer-related but instead focus on the paperwork and documentation to accelerate Joan Garcia’s registration.
Ter Stegen’s surgery might have a part to play
With it being confirmed recently that German goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen will be undergoing surgery, it should possibly leave enough salary space for Garcia to be registered. That is what previous reports suggested, but it remains to be seen what happens moving forward.
For now, Barcelona are working to urgently resolve this registration matter. The registration process and required documentation are being addressed by the club and the player’s representatives as they look to wrap up this whole matter as soon as possible.
