These upcoming weeks could prove to be crucial for FC Barcelona and their transfer plans for the summer. After all, the club is still yet to sign a left-winger this summer and that has reportedly remained their primary objective recently. Unfortunately, the current situation at Barcelona makes it difficult.
A mix of financial limitations and the need to generate more revenue have hindered the Catalan club for now. However, it is expected that La Blaugrana will end up making a move for one of their key targets who just so happens to play for Liverpool.
That player is none other than Luis Diaz, a Colombian winger who seems to be in quite high demand this summer. Beyond Barcelona, he has also been linked to Bayern Munich and the German side has reportedly already sent in a formal proposal to pursue his signing.
Ronaldo wants Luis Diaz at Al-Nassr

Now, however, there seems to be a new update suggesting that a certain Saudi Arabian side wants him as well. Moreover, their interest in the player is reportedly fuelled by Portuguese icon Cristiano Ronaldo’s desire to have Diaz play alongside him.
According to SPORT, Ronaldo wants Diaz at Al-Nassr for next season to play alongside him and create chances for him. Following his recent renewal, the former Real Madrid superstar has reportedly gained a much bigger influence within the Middle Eastern club and especially in terms of their transfer planning.
On that note, Al-Nassr is reportedly the only side that is currently willing to pay the €100 million price tag that Liverpool have set for the 28-year-old forward. Despite reportedly failing several times before, the Saudi Arabian side seems to have no desire to stop their pursuit of the Barcelona target.
Barcelona might need to get their act together soon

Moreover, beyond just the financial strength of Al-Nassr’s potential proposal, the Saudi Arabian league already has several Colombian internationals playing there. From that perspective, even Diaz’s chances of staying with the Colombian National team would not look to be in danger.
Unfortunately, this could be a worrying sign for Barcelona. While the club is working on some exciting announcements and projects already, the Catalan giants might have to pick up the pace if it is truly Luis Diaz that they wish to sign this summer.
