There seems to be a lot going on behind the scenes at FC Barcelona this summer. Various operations are ongoing, and not all of them are related to player arrivals. For Barcelona, a lot of matters need to be addressed during this ongoing transfer window.
The primary objective, and understandably so, remains the arrival of new players. In that regard, the arrival of a new left-winger seems to be the priority for Hansi Flick, and it is reportedly his only major demand from the club this summer.
Barcelona looking to bring back Thiago

However, while the club continues to work towards a potential new signing, there are other matters to be looked into as well. Interestingly, one of those operations could provide Flick with a different kind of reinforcement this summer.
According to Moises Llorens of ESPN, FC Barcelona are looking to finalise the signing of Thiago Alcantara to be a part of Flick’s coaching staff. The club is working towards this operation and is looking to finalise it within the coming weeks as per the update.
However, several issues are still pending and the update singled out the Financial Fair Play concern. Addressing that is crucial for Barcelona, and it would help them in matters that go well beyond just the Thiago operation.
A familiar face for Hansi Flick and the club
Interestingly, the Spaniard was formerly a temporary member of Flick’s staff as well during the initial days of his new coaching job at Barcelona and is also a former player for the club. Since then, however, it has seemed as if Barça have been trying to bring him back as a more personal reinforcement for Flick.
On that note, the club is looking to find ways to make some moves and even register their own players. One such avenue that could potentially open up those operations is the possible surgery that Marc-Andre Ter Stegen could reportedly end up undergoing to fix his back-related issues which would then potentially allow the club to register new arrival Joan Garcia and possibly make other moves as well.
